Empowerment Church Membership Covenant
I will love, serve and trust the Lord, my God, with all my heart, mind, body and soul.
I will walk by faith and not by sight and live each day in the assuring confidence of God’s love, grace and goodness.
I will witness and give testimony to the saving, redeeming, forgiving, renewing, transforming spirit of God’s love each day so that others may know and experience Christ.
I will cultivate my spiritual gifts and use them in selfless service to God, family, church, community and country.
I will use my time, talents and gifts to serve the people of God and promote the growth of Empowerment Church through Discipleship, Worship, Stewardship, and Fellowship.
I will practice and model Christian spirituality by praying to God regularly, studying God’s Word diligently, displaying God’s spirit readily and compassionately, and serving God’s Church faithfully for the saving of souls, the building of God’s Kingdom on earth and the transformation and uplift of all people everywhere through the Spirit, Power and Love of Jesus Christ.
I will teach and encourage my family and others to receive and live Christ and help nurture their faith by bringing them to church, teaching them the importance of Christian service and by encouraging their continuing study of God’s Word.
I will use my spiritual gifts to promote unity in the church, understanding among my Christian brothers and sisters and serve as an instrument of peace, reconciliation, love and justice in the church, family, community and world.
I will develop a healthy Christ like respect for all people regardless of race, gender, religion, identity, class, sexual orientation, ethnicity, national origin, socio-economic situation, age, ability, disability, belief or background.
I will do all the good I can, by all the means I can, in all the ways I can, in all the places I can, at all the times I can, for all the people I can, as long as ever I can for the Glory of God!
I promise to live these covenant vows to the best of my abilities and powers by the grace and strength of God almighty!
